Kansai Medical University, department of physiology in Osaka, Japan, is seeking outstanding neuroscientists to fill one lecturer position.
Our research focuses on understanding the neural correlates of motivational behavior and decision making in non-human primates. Strong applicants working in any area of behavioral neuroscience will be considered but we are particularly interested in candidates whose interests are in the related areas above. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in extracellular recordings in monkeys, although candidates with strong background in related disciplines of systems neuroscience are welcome to apply. Experience with Matlab and/or C is an advantage, and computational background or experience is also an advantage. She/he should also be proficient in English and Japanese. The applicant is expected to teach neuroscience to the medical students in Japanese. Applications of women and minorities are strongly encouraged.
