4.授業実施期日時間

[対面講義]   不定期で年間50回程度のセミナーおよび20回程度の生理研研究

生理学研究所(明大寺地区)1階会議室、5階講義室および(山手地区)セミナー室、岡崎カンファレンスセンターなど

6.履修条件、受講方法

所長招聘セミナー、部門公開セミナー、および生理研研究会の案内は事前に所内に流されます。所長招聘セミナーおよび部門公開セミナーより5回以上、あるい は生理研研究会(2日程度)に1回以上出席してください。 I〜Vは各学年に対応します。(Iは5年一貫制の1年次、IIIは5年一貫制3年次または後期 3年課程の1年次、Vは5年一貫制の5年次または後期3年課程の3年次、など)申請は履修届けを大学院係に提出することによって行います。

7.授業内容の概要

授業内容は各セミナーや研究会のテーマによって多様ですが、いずれも生命科学の最先端研究が直接当該研究者から講義されます。これらのセミナーや研究会に出席し、最先端の知識を習得することができます。また研究者本人と直接議論するという、論文や本では決して得られない貴重な機会でもあります。

8.授業の達成目標

 

  1. 生命科学の最先端で問われている、重要な問題について理解する。
  2. 生命科学の最先端で開発されている新しい方法論について理解する。
  3. それらの内容について批判的に議論できる。
  4. 以上の内容をレポートとしてまとめられる。

 

9.授業計画: 対面講義の日程

それぞれのセミナーや生理研研究会の講師や内容については、生理研のホームページ(http://www.nips.ac.jp/)やe-mailによって伝達されます。

10.単位取得要件と成績評価基準

セミナーや研究会の講演からで興味をもった講演1つを選んでレポートを提出しま
す。レポートはA4用紙にセミナーの概要と問題点についての自分なりの批判的論考を
記入します。単位の認定は副専攻長が行います。期限までにレポートを提出した受講
者のうち、目標を達成できていると判定されたものに単位を認定します。成績は可否
で示します。

6. Prerequisites and Styles

Lectures in this course include the cutting edge of physiological sciences. Some lectures are given in English, although majority is given in Japanese. Students should attend more than five seminars or one series of Seiriken conference.

7. Contents

The contents of these seminars are of great variety. You can learn most recent progress in the wide field of physiological sciences and have discussion with leading experts in the world.

8. Course objectives

 

  1. To understand the major issues in modern physiological sciences.
  2. To understand new technology and methodology under development.
  3. To be able to critically discuss the issues in person.
  4. To be able to write up the summary and critical opinion in a report.

 

9.Schedule

Announced each time by NIPS homepage and e-mails.

10.Grades

Students are requested to submit an essay report on one theme selected by themselves from at least 5 seminars or one series of Seiriken conference by the deadline. The grades will be determined by the quality of the report, and will be either "passed" or "failed".
