Equipment reducing the stress of mouse
| Summary | The welfare of animal has been noticed and many trials offering a rich environment in terms of animal breeding condition has been introduced by a lot of animal care facilities. However, as you can imagine, it is not easy to make a natural condition for the animal life in small cage, even after various physical and social environment improvement. Recently many kind of sterilizable materials for bedding and toys become available to make the small cage rich environment. Some reports for the effectiveness of the equipments introduced the improvement of reproduction disturbance or reduction of attacking action of the mouse. We expect this rich environment helps to create a well-balanced animal life condition and especially to obtain good experimental result using behaviorally disordered transgenic animals. |
