From JR Kyoto station: |
Take Tokaido Shinkansen (JR bullet) train to Nagoya (by "Nozomi" type train, about 40 min, around 6,000 yen).
Change at Nagoya to Meitetsu train bound for Toyohashi. Meitetsu station (called Shin-Nagoya Station) is located underground on the other side (Sakura-dori guchi exit) of Shinkansen at Nagoya Station. Take a Kaisoku-Tokkyu (super express) or Tokkyu (express) but not Futsu (local) to Higashi-Okazaki station, it takes about 35 min (650 yen).

From Nagoya International Airport (Centrair - Central Japan International

There is Airport Bus bound for Okazaki station, take the bus and get off
at Higashi-Okazaki station (about 65min, 1600yen).

From Tokyo (Narita) International Airport: |
JR line (Narita Express or other rapid service) takes you from Narita-Kuko station (situated underground the airport) to Tokyo Station in 60 min. From Tokyo, take Tokaido Shinkansen (JR bullet) train of "Hikari-type" and get off at Toyohashi station. It takes about 90 min. (You can also take “Kodama-type” but it takes 150 min.) It costs about 12000 yen (From Tokyo (Narita) International Airport to Toyohashi station), you can buy the ticket at the airport station.
At Toyohashi you change trains to Meitetsu train (bound for Shin-Gifu).
Take a Tokkyu (super express) or Kyuko (express) but not Futsu (local)
train for about 25 min, and get off at Higashi-Okazaki station. A ticket
(540 yen) is available in the train from the conductor, or at Higashi-Okazaki
station you can pay it when you leave the station.

From Kansai International Airport: |
JR line (Haruka express for bout 45 min) takes you from Kansai International Airport to JR Shin-Osaka station. From JR Shin-Osaka station, take “Nozomi-type” or "Hikari-type" Tokaido Shinkansen (JR bullet) train to Nagoya station (about 50 min). It costs about 9000 yen (From Kansai International Airport to Nagoya), you can buy the ticket at the airport station.
