The 2025 annual meeting of the Organization for Human Brain Mapping (OHBM) was held in Brisbane, Australia. Professor Takemura, in collaboration with Dr. Nicola Palomero-Gallagher, organized the educational course titled "Neuroanatomy and its impact on structural and functional neuroimaging (In Memory of Karl Zilles)". In addition, Professor Takemura gave a symposium lecture, and graduate students (Daiki Taguma and Ayuka Nakamura) presented posters.

A visit by Dr. Helen Mayberg and Dr. Jon Haitz Legarreta
Dr. Helen Mayberg from Mount Sinai and Dr. Jon Haitz Legarreta from Brigham and Women's Hospital visited us. Dr. Mayberg lectured on cutting-edge deep brain stimulation research for psychiatric disorders, and Dr. Legarreta presented novel approaches to tractography using autoencoders. A visit by Dr. Aviv Mezer (Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel)
Dr. Aviv Mezer of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem stayed with us for a few days for a joint research project. In his lecture, he introduced his recent research, ranging from the basics of MRI measurement to its applications, in which quantitative and semi-quantitative MRI metrics are used to measure the basal ganglia microstructure and investigate structural changes caused by Parkinson's disease. The seminar was a lively one, with questions and answers throughout. Thank you very much for visiting us!
