要旨 |
Optically pumped magnetometers (OPMs) provide a new form of
magnetoencephalography (MEG). These sensors can be worn, and do not require cryogenic cooling. This has allowed imaging during movement and across the lifespan, and has started to revolutionise human neuroimaging. In this talk, I will discuss some of the exciting new developments, such as imaging during complex whole body movements, patients with movement disorders and imaging of the entire CNS including spinal cord. I will also discuss some of the challenges, such as noise, shielding and source modelling. OPMs offer exciting new advances in temporally precise neurophysiology of the human CNS, with the promise of imaging in relatively unconstrained scenarios previously not possible. |
