NIPS Young Scientist Award

NIPS students who demonstrate excellent academic and scientific achievements during the PhD course are eligible for the "NIPS Young Scientist Award". Students who meet the following requirements and are qualified for early graduation will receive the award. Award-winning students will be offered a guaranteed postdoctoral position in the institute for the remaining year(s) of their PhD course.

• For students enrolled in three-year PhD program:
  More than three scientific papers published or in press, from his/her PhD studies, in peer-reviewed journals including at least one first-authorship paper.
• For students enrolled in five-year PhD program:
  More than four scientific papers published or in press, from his/her PhD studies, in peer-reviewed journals including at least two first-authorship papers.
