National Institute for Physiological Sciences () (Department of Physiological Sciences, School of Life Science, The Graduate University for Advanced Studies ()) invites foreign students who wish to stay at for approximately 2 weeks (internship) in FY2024. The aim of the internship is to provide students who are thinking of entrance to our PhD course program with an opportunity to experience our education system and research activity. We believe this opportunity will be very helpful to students in making a decision to enter our graduate university. We will support travel and staying expenses. There is a selection for this program.

You will be required to submit your Motivation and self-appeal letter, CV, academic records, recommendation letter, each as a separate file. Please prepare for these items in advance. All necessary items must be submitted by the deadline.

Once Step 1 is completed, you will receive an email from us within three business days except for the year-end holiday period (from Dec.29 through Jan 3). After, you can upload your Motivation and self-appeal letter , CV, academic records, and recommendation letter via the URL provided in the email. We only accept DOC/DOCX, PDF, and JPG files. The maximum file size is 10MB in total. In the Motivation and self-appeal letter, describe with 250-500 words explaining why you would be a good candidate for this internship program. Note that a recommendation letter should be written by the head of your affiliation, such as a dean, department head, PI, or someone in an equivalent position; we may contact them.
